Sacramento Area Tile Terrazzo and Marble Trades JATC

Training Education and Safety

The Sacramento Area Tile Terrazzo and Marble Trades Joint Apprentice Training Committee was established to provide a comprehensive training and education program to achieve journeyman certification for Tile Tradespersons. Graduates of this program are skilled journeypersons who contribute to high-quality crews, delivering exceptional finished products for contractors on projects throughout northern California.
For over two decades, this apprenticeship program has been registered with the State of California Apprenticeship Council and the US Dept. of Labor Employment and Training Administration. Our institution is certified to deliver education to registered apprentices, thereby fulfilling the apprentice requirements for Public Works and Davis-Bacon projects.
An apprentice receives paid, on-the-job training, a standardized timeline for raises, and hands-on learning. No experience is required. Applicants must be at least 17 years old, have a social security number, and a photo ID. Applications are accepted at the contractors listed below. Experienced applicants will be assessed during the probation period. The employer will recommend a dispatch level to the committee, which will decide on credit time to be applied.
